Air Jordan III (3) Retro – Black/Cement Grey | Confirmed For Holiday 2011 Release

If the launch of Air Jordan III for Doernbecher Collection was any indication, this news will have any Jordan fans on the edge of their seats. Confirmed earlier today, Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan III (3) Retro in colorways Black/Cement Gray during Holiday 2011. As with all recent re-releases from Jordan Brand, one significant difference from the original, as indicated in these OG image, will be the branding. Instead of “Nike Air” lettering, this retro release will be branded with the Jumpman insignia only. Or course with its contrast colored sibling, the Air Jordan III (3) Retro in White/Grey Cement to come out early 2011, this will be an opportunity for fans to pair both off.

Air Jordan III “Doernbecher” – A Closer Look

here is a closer look into the latest Air Jordan model from Nike’s ongoing Doernbecher campaign. This new design continues the AJ III’s excellence with one of the more visually intriguing colorways we’ve seen executed on the iconic silhouette. Done up in a 3M scheme, the shoes feature reflective materials via the tongue, lace panel, and above the midsoles. Red serves as the predominate hue with black and silver adding some contrast in color. Clear outsoles with red stitching finish off the design. A scheduled release is set for December 11th, 2010, through limited Jordan Brand doors.

Air Jordan III Doernbecher | Preview

It’s never easy when a serious illness befall on a love one. The ordeal becomes even more so when that love one is a mere child, at the starting point of his and her life. Hence the formation of medical care facilities like Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, where the providers of care are trained to treat these most delicate cases. In their show of support, Nike and Jordan Brand have partnered with the Portland-base hospital once again for an unique contribution to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation. Now in its 7th year, Nike and Jordan Brand select 5 former patients of the hospital in creating their versions of Nike or Jordan Brand footwear. The proceeds from sales of these collectibles go to the foundation. Whereas some of the designs have appeared in forums, this particular design, the Air Jordan III (AJ3) in a lattice pattern upper with vibrant red and contrast black, really stood out. It is also the first time a Air Jordan III was in the collection. A full announcement regarding the this year’s program, designs, and involved parties will take place this Saturday, October 9th, so stay tune for more information to come on Doernbecher Freestyle VII.

Air Jordan 3 White/Cement Grey

Another Classic Jordan retroing next summer...The 2011 version looks pretty true to the last retro we saw in 2003, with minor differences in the elephant print. Rumors circulated that the heel would show the Swoosh and AIR design from the original release, but it looks as though the Jumpman logo will be in place instead.
