Fresh off their acquisition of Brandon Marshall, the Miami Dolphins on Friday traded wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. to the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers will send a fifth-round pick in this year's draft to Miami, a source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. The three-day draft begins Thursday.
The Dolphins had Ginn on the trading block even before they acquired Pro Bowl receiver Marshall on Wednesday from the Denver Broncos.
Ginn, the ninth overall pick in the 2007 draft, was a disappointment with the Dolphins. He has only five career touchdown catches with an average of 13.0 yards per reception, but has been more successful on special teams, scoring on kickoff returns of 100 and 101 yards in a game against the New York Jets last season.
