Reports: Guru Of Gangstarr Suffers Cardiac Arrest; In Coma

Rapper Guru of Gangstarr fame suffered a heart attack and is in a coma, several sources have told AllHipHop.com.

While details remain sketchy, the rapper apparently suffered the heart attack in New York City and is in serious condition.

Guru, real name Keith Elam, is a founding member of Gangstarr, which also features legendary producer DJ Premier.

Questlove of The Roots said via twitter, "So Primo confirmed on Sirius radio that Guru had heart attack and is in a coma and will undergo surgery tomorrow."

Recently, Guru gave fans the opportunity to download his album Guru 7.0: Street Scriptures, which dropped on his label 7 Grand Records in 2005.

The graphic on our newest release is a play on both the Denver Nugget’s logo, as well as a type of strain of fine-grade, high-octane sticky-icky known simply as Kona Gold. One of our island’s best kept secrets, in contrast with the all too cliché Maui Wowie. The graphic on the front features a snow-capped mountain, with FITTED, Aloha Served Daily and the Fitted crest beneath it. Back graphic hit sees the same mountain with Kona Nuggets resting beneath it. A tonal pakalolo leaf appears on the right sleeve as well.

Coexisting with the Kona Nuggets tee is a new Pride H New Era. Simple and sweet, all black with a white Pride H logo, crest and crown.

The communications provider allowed three titans of street art to leave their mark on retail stores in the Harlem and the Bronx. West Coast legend Mister Cartoon hooked up with two East Coast heavyweights, Cope2 and Sen2, to deliver a powerful message.
