Supreme – Japan Benefit T-Shirt | To Support Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Victims
In that now “mythological” interview by Glenn O’Brien of Interview Magazine, Supreme’s founder James Jebbia lauded the importance of Japan to the brand. Then, there is little doubt how the ongoing tragedy is affecting Jebbia and the rest of the Supreme organization. To them, it isn’t about the financial aspects. Some of Supreme‘s closest associates and friends felt the devastations personally, thus makes this benefit t-shirt all the more important. By footing the initial cost, Supreme will donate all 100% of the profit from sale to the Japanese Red Cross Society. The Supreme Benefit T-Shirt will be available in-store and online next Friday, April 8th, follow by its Japanese launch on Saturday, April 9th.

Walter’s x Air Jordan 5 “60th Anniversary” Preview
Jordan Brand rarely does collaborations and when they do, they are almost always guaranteed to be limited in numbers and sell out in the blink of an eye. Today, a preview picture has surfaced of a special, never-before-seen Air Jordan 5 dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of Walter’s, a sneaker boutique in Atlanta, Georgia. The colorway is very similar to that seen on the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder.” Although materials and textures can not be made out from this single photo, we can see the predominately black upper is contrasted nicely with hints of yellow on the outsole, midsole, tongue and lace locks. Air Jordan XII (12) Retro Low – Taxi
The Air Jordan XII (12) was first released in this taxi colorway in 1996, and it first saw a low top release in this colorway 7 years later. Though the countdown package included this with the highly sought-after Air Jordan XI (11) in the black and red colorway, the low top has remained on the shelf until now. And even though there have been a number of anticipated models of Jordans coming up, including the Air Jordan VII (7) Bordeaux retro, these should not be overlooked for their simple original colorway and high quality materials. On April 9th, expect to see this low top model in white pebbled leather and black exotic leather at Quickstrike accounts, like New York City’s Extra Butter.

R.I.P. Nate Dogg (8.19.69 – 3.15.11)
Last night, Hip-Hop lost yet another icon, Long Beach rapper / crooner and who I’d consider, along with many others, the King of Hooks, Nate Dogg. Info is scarce, however it’s reported that he suffered a massive stroke. He, along with his rugged yet smooth signature baritone will be sorely missed, while his legacy and music will continue to live on.
Rumor: Undefeated moving into old HUF SF Space
Its been a hot topic of discussion here in the Bay Area for the past couple of weeks. Undefeated moving to San Francisco? If the rumors stack up to be true (confirmed through multiple sources), Undefeated will be making its way to SF quite soon, taking up residence in the old HUF space on Hayes Street, while adding yet another store to its current retail stable. A few years back no one would have ever imagined HUF and UNDFTD swapping cities, but it seems like this will be the case. What are your thoughts on the potential switch?

Air Jordan XII Low – Black – Patent
In 1996, when the Air Jordan XII (12) was first released, there were no low top models released from the that year when the OG dropped. It wasn’t until 2004 when they were offered as a low top retro in obsidian, blue, and white and another in white and black. Now, 7 years later in 2011, we get another low top version of a shoe that used Japan’s rising sun as an inspiration for the design on the upper. In this monochromatic offering, there is a suede black upper with alternating perforated and smooth panels, a patent-like material that looks to have a slight composite material pattern, and the famed pebble outsole. There are slight hints of what looks to be varsity red on the tongue’s jumpman, the outsole’s jumpman (which can be seen in part on the toe), and the outline of the heel tab. No more information is available as far as the release of this low version
