FITTED HAWAII x NEW ERA「Kuhina Nui Kamehameha x Kahu」59Fifty Fitted Cap
FITTED HAWAII is releasing another Kamehameha fitted cap for the New Year. They are starting off the new year strong and we hope they will keep it that way. The base of the hat is a Dark Green with Gold embroidered and a Brown Suede brim. The inside is lined with Satin and is wrapped with an orange head band. The interior features the Hawaii Coat of Arms, featuring Kamehameha’s brothers; Hoapili (which means “attached to the bosom,” one of Kamehameha’s closest companions) and Ho’olulu. It will be available at Fitted on January 2, 2010.

Us Versus Them x Black Scale “La Guerra Clandestina” Video

Following up its recent collaboration with Crooks & Castles, Us Versus Them puts out another video, this time for the release of its collaboration with fellow West Coast brand, Black Scale. Working from a concept created by Mega and Us Versus Them designer Graham Nystrom, the brand’s applied a signature hand drawn style, pulling inspiration from the cryptic crests and symbolism of old European architecture. Aiming to keep the true meaning of the symbolism cloudy, the graphic is centered around the Ourobouros, an ancient symbol of a serpent eating itself, which is said to represent death and rebirth, and the phrase “La Guerra Clandestina”, meaning The Secret War, lends a heavy feeling to the project.
Both tees and crewnecks will see a release tomorrow at noon (PST), exclusively at usversusthem.com, the Black Scale flagship store and Versus stores.

Hella Tight SF Trolley Fitted Cap
Hella Tight pay tribute to the brand’s Bay Area roots with its new Trolley fitted cap. The hat takes on a San Francisco colorway in black/orange with the added Trolley embroidery, a common reference to the City by the Bay. Other features include a 100% wool crown and black satin taping. It is now available through select retailers, including Hall of Fame in Los Angeles as well as the brand’s webstore.

Tomorrow’s release pays honor & respect to our at-times-forgotten military, more specifically the U.S. Navy, which has a deep-rooted history here in our islands for more than a century. Hawaii; Pearl Harbor to be precise, has been the strategic headquarters for U.S. Naval operations in the Pacific, because of the ideal location smack dab in the Pacific Ocean. Historical reports describe how an Agent of the United States for Commerce and Seaman arrived in the Port Of Honolulu as early as 1820, which was the beginning of Government / Naval business / relationships between the U.S. and Hawai’i.
The pack features a Kamehameha, accurately named U.S.S. Kamehameha, which is named after the U.S. Navy submarine with the same moniker (SSBN-642). The U.S.S. Kamehameha saw the majority of it’s operation while stationed in Rota, Spain. These days, you can still view some of the submarine’s parts at Pearl Harbor, but for the most part, the entire submarine has been decommissioned. The hat is dipped in navy blue (how appropriate!) with a gold Kamehameha and eyelets, including a gold rope which wraps around and gold leaves, normally associated with highranking Naval officers. The rest of the pack features a zip-up hoody (called Fox One) in gray with 49 navy blue stars and one gold star (representing Hawaii). The front features the words FITTED HAWAII / ALOHA SERVED DAILY wrapped around a gold 50. The t-shirt, titled “Intercept” (as in radar intercept) features a radar graphic, printed on white, with gold leaves around the radar blip. The radar, centered on the Hawaiian islands is printed in navy blue.

DIAMOND SUPPLY CO. has leaked two teaser photos of their Varsity fitted sample. This cap is an all Black tonal fitted with Red accents. The front panel features chenille diamond embroidered while the back has the Diamond Un-Polo logo stitched and Diamond Supply Co. is placed on the side of the hat. There is no word of a release but stay tuned.
